JShelter is a browser extension that controls browser APIs to limit the data they gather and send to websites, aiming to improve browsing privacy and security. It adds a layer that lets users forbid actions on a site or allow them with restrictions, such as reducing geolocation precision. It supports Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera, and works with Brave, Microsoft Edge and most Chromium-based browsers.
WebExtension.ORG offers free web-hosting space for browser-based open-source applications, with product pages that update release notes and fetch bug reports from github.com. It also provides anonymous bug reporting, RSS feeds for products connected to addons.mozilla.org, and technical support for hosted developers. The site states it is in transition as add0n.com migrates to webextension.org.
ClearURLs is a browser add-on built on WebExtensions technology and optimized for Firefox and Chrome based browsers. It automatically removes tracking elements from URLs in the background to help protect privacy while browsing, using a rules catalog maintained by the project and community. It also blocks some common ad domains optionally, blocks hyperlink auditing and prevents ETag and history API tracking. Chrome-based browsers may disable the add-on during the Manifest V2 phase-out.
ExportCookies is a WebExtension that adds a browser action for saving cookies to a Netscape format cookies.txt file. Cookies can be exported for the current host, the current domain, or all domains, with an option to apply an HttpOnly encoding prefix. It is available for Firefox through Mozilla Add-ons and for Chrome through the Chrome Web Store. The project is MIT licensed.
A decentralized search engine and automated press review tool shaped as a WebExtension browser addon. Searches are keyword driven with selectable sources, and searches can be scheduled and exported. The search and sort job is handled by the extension on the user's computer, with no central server involved.
Open-Multiple-URLs is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that opens a list of URLs at once and extracts URLs from text. It is built with Vue.js on top of WebExtension and supports cross-browser use. Input text and options are saved locally, and tabs can be opened in random order.
Quick Copy is a browser webextension that eases copying text inside browsers. The repository lists Chrome and Firefox as install targets and notes 2000+ active users on Chrome Web Store. It is distributed under GNU GPLv3, with source in the repository and an icon provided by Unicons.
Search Site WE is a cross-browser extension compatible with Firefox and Chrome. It allows users to search within the current subdomain or the entire domain using a selected search engine, accessible via the toolbar button or context menu. It is a no-restart alternative to the established Search Site add-on, built with the WebExtensions API with identical functions and user interfaces across both supported browsers.
SoundFixer is a WebExtension for Firefox that addresses sound problems on the web, such as audio in one channel only, volume too quiet at maximum or too loud at minimum. It is distributed through addons.mozilla.org. It does not work on all websites because the Web Audio API cannot be used from a cross-domain source.
Tab Session Manager is a WebExtension that saves and restores the state of windows and tabs, and supports automatic saving. It is available for Chrome and Microsoft Edge, with development and translation resources listed.
