Insular is a sandbox environment for Android that clones selected apps and isolates them from personal data outside the sandbox, though device-bound data such as SMS and IMEI remains accessible. It uses Android 5.0+'s managed profile feature, and cloned apps can run in parallel with the original and be frozen on demand without root.
