The Atomic Line List
A compilation of approximately 923,000 allowed, intercombination and forbidden atomic transitions with wavelengths from 0.5 Å to 1000 µm. Wavelengths are calculated from energy-level differences rather than observed values. Its primary intention is to allow identification of observed atomic absorption or emission features, using a selection tool that applies wavelength and other criteria. Most energy level data come from the NIST Atomic Spectra Database.

Its database builds on Maddison's original dataset, keeping original estimates intact and revising them only when better information is available. His unaltered final dataset remains available on the Original Maddison Homepage.
