It is a network of distributed repositories holding language data and basic language processing tools, documented with metadata for uniform search and access. Members maintain their own repositories or deposit resources with hosting repositories, and third parties can search the network and acquire resources under licensing terms.

It includes intracellular patch clamp recordings for two protocols, a 1 second current pulse and a 3 millisecond pulse, and morphology obtained by biocytin injections and confocal imaging at 63x magnification.
The data.bris Research Data Repository is managed by the University of Bristol Research Data Service and builds on investment in the Research Data Storage Facility. It offers a means for Bristol's researchers to share research data openly with the world.
