Auto Tab Discard is a browser extension that automatically discards inactive tabs after a specified amount of time to reduce memory usage and prevent background scripts from consuming computational resources. It uses the browser's native tab discarding method, so discarded tabs are removed from memory but can be restored with their page state, including scroll position. An exception list and tab-type exclusions are configurable.
