Pittsburgh Queer History Project
The Pittsburgh Queer History Project (PQHP) is an oral history and media initiative founded in 2012 that focuses on LGBTQ after-hours nightlife in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania between 1960 and 1990. Its core program is Miss 89 (MS89), a series of in-person intergenerational media archive events featuring rare film screenings and other activities to support collective, cross-generational memory sharing. The project also hosts public events.
