Mobile app for learning what companies collect and sending opt-out, account-deletion, and data-deletion requests.
Optery is an opt-out service that finds and removes personal information from data brokers and people-search sites. It provides an exposure report and self-service removal tools on a free tier, with paid plans adding automated removals and custom removal requests. A 30-day money-back guarantee is offered for individual accounts.
Cloaked's data removal feature finds where personal information is exposed on data broker and people-search sites and sends opt-out and removal requests on the user's behalf. It continuously monitors and re-removes data that brokers re-list over time. The page states the feature is included in every Cloaked plan.
JustDeleteAccount.com is a directory of links for deleting accounts from web services. It lists services and rates deletion difficulty from easy to impossible, with community votes and success figures reported for some services. The site states that deleting an unused account removes personal information from the internet and can help protect privacy.
Data Brokers Watch curates a publicly available database of data brokers and makes it available to the research community. The dataset includes up to 60+ data points on services distributed across the globe, and is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. The project describes data brokers as companies that collect personal data and license it to other organizations.
DataRequests is a website that helps people generate GDPR requests to companies for their privacy rights. Users choose companies from a database or add their own, the site generates a request the user sends themselves, and it offers reminders and help assessing answers and complaining. The site states it never sees user data.
Incogni is a data removal service that sends automated removal requests to data brokers and people search sites on behalf of users, who grant the company the right to act on their behalf. It scans for personal information and sends recurring removal requests, providing monthly privacy reports. Plans cover 420+ data brokers, and higher tiers add custom removals from 3,000+ additional sites and family account options.
