It also offers a sheet music scanner and works in a browser on any device.

Nootka is an application for learning classical score notation, helping users understand the basics of reading and practicing musical scores. The user plays notes displayed by the app, which checks in real time whether they were played correctly. The application is free and open source.
Toadflax is a graphical tool for displaying and editing tunes in abc notation. It lets users load abc music notation files and work on each independently, with music shown on-screen without a PostScript interpreter. It provides transposition, and it exists in forms built with GTK and tkinter.
