Image Scrubber is a browser-based tool for anonymizing photographs taken at protests. It removes identifying metadata (Exif data) from photographs and allows selective blurring or painting over of parts of an image to cover faces and other identifiable information. All processing happens in the browser and the tool works offline.
VerExif is a website for viewing and removing EXIF metadata from pictures online without downloading software. It accepts a public image up to 20MB, shows GPS information on a map when present, and states that no copy of the image is stored.
OpenPuff is a portable steganography and watermarking tool for hiding data in carrier files. It supports image, audio, video, Flash and Adobe formats, and uses multiple passwords, 16 cryptography algorithms and carrier chains. It requires no installation and runs in user mode.
Schizoware is a bulk image name and hash randomizer that renames files using 4chan, tumblr, KYM or UUID filename styles and rehashes files across multiple folders. It can run automatically at a timed interval and has been tested mostly with .jpg, .png and .gif files.
RawTherapee is a free, cross-platform raw image processing program released as Free Software under GPLv3. It is designed for developing raw files from a broad range of digital cameras and offers a non-destructive, 32-bit floating point processing engine with modern demosaicing algorithms. It is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows and in over 15 languages.
Photofeeler is a photo testing tool in which users upload photos and receive scores on key traits from real people. It provides feedback intended to help choose profile pictures for business, social, and dating contexts. Users can vote on photos for a free test or purchase credits for faster results.
Base64 Image is an online tool that converts images into base64-encoded strings for use in HTML, CSS and email templates. It supports JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG and other formats, and offers optional compression, resizing and format conversion. An API is documented for programmatic encoding with token-based authentication.
