Listed use cases include realtime analytics, online machine learning, continuous computation, distributed RPC and ETL.
Git LFS
Git Large File Storage (Git LFS) is an open source Git extension for versioning large files. It replaces large files such as audio samples, videos, datasets, and graphics with text pointers inside Git while storing the file contents on a remote server like GitHub.com or GitHub Enterprise. Installation is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Tracking file types does not convert pre-existing files, which requires the git lfs migrate command.
Features
- an open source Git extension for versioning large files Source: git-lfs.com
Limitations
- will not, by itself, convert any pre-existing files to Git LFS Source: git-lfs.com
