Nostr covers clients, relays, and tools built on the open social protocol of the same name. Entries include mobile and desktop clients, relay software, identity helpers, and small apps that read or publish notes. Because anyone can run a relay and anyone can build a client, the experience differs from one to the next, so compare how a client handles your key, which relays it connects to by default, and how it filters spam. Your keys control your account, and losing them without a backup can mean losing access, so keep a copy in a safe place. Some tools are polished and some are early experiments.
