General news lists online outlets that report current affairs, from national services to independent sites. These are websites rather than print editions. Entries range from large broadcasters and wire services to smaller independent newsrooms and regional outlets, and each listing pairs the outlet's domain with a short summary of what it covers. Some post continuously and others publish a few stories a day, so check the timestamps on what you read. Comparing outlets takes a little work: look at who owns each one, where its reporting comes from and how it marks opinion or sponsored sections.
